Queensboro Bridge, New York City 1915 Vintage Tee Shirts

In 1910, the city's Common Council decided that Waterworks Park was too ordinary a name and, "for reasons known only to them" changed the name to Gladwin Park to honor Maj. Henry Gladwin, the British commander of Fort Detroit during the 1763 siege of Detroit by Chief Pontiac and his Ottawa warriors. This Victorian style architecture, built in 1873, was demolished in 1962.
